What is Comhairle na nÓg?

 •Comhairle na nÓg means youth council
 •Gives young people a voice at community, County and National levels.
 •In Kildare all Secondary schools send forward 4 representations to the AGM of Kildare Comhairle Na nÓg.
 •A total of 155 young people attended the AGM in 2012.

What does Comhairle do?

Gives young people a chance to develop personal and social responsibilities

 •Encourages young people to be more active in their communities and helps develop an understanding of
  democracy  e.g. Local Elections.

 •Recognise children and young people as a valuable resource

 •Influence change for the good of all young people.
