PRESS RELEASE-
PLEASE SUPPORT CLAN NáS-NAAS
CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BEFORE THE FIRST RACE!
Kildare Youth Services (KYS) are delighted
to announce the Clan Nás Spring Fundraising Campaign which begins at the
Punchestown Racing Festival next week. Clan Nás Building Project is a
worthwhile local initiative building a local state of the art Family
Support and Community Childcare premises in Sarto Park Naas.
This will provide therapeutic play and
parenting support to all parents in the Naas area, to those that need
support for themselves and their children. ‘Families need support for a
variety of reasons’ said Catherine Boonstra Project Leader, ‘these can
range from serious illness, bereavement, stress due to separation,
redundancy and/or neglect. Parenting in these times for some can be
very difficult. Family support and children’s services have never been
in such high demand’ said Catherine.
Clan Nás is supported by the Naas Lions
Club, Naas St Vincent de Paul, Naas Town Council and the HSE and local
private benefactors. A site has been donated by the Naas Town Council.
Significant funds need to be raised in order to match any support
received from Government Departments.
KYS calls on all our local punters to
support Clan Nás on Wednesday 29th April at the Punchestown
Festival. It’s your local development. Please help us to build a
better future for children in Naas.

Summer Camps in County Kildare 2009
Kildare Youth Services, Youth
Information Centre (YIC), are compiling their annual Summer Camp
Brochure 2009, which will be available in May across the county.
The brochure will be free of
charge to the public and also free to those who wish to promote their
upcoming Summer Camps/Activities in it. This year we would particularly
like to highlight non-profit making summer camps and unusual camps in
the Kildare area.
It is our aim to encourage good
child protection practices, we recommend an excellent book for summer
camp providers, from the Department of Health & Children “Out Duty to
Care”. This book can be downloaded from the departments website or
alternatively from our website, along with information on the Garda
Vetting Process.
If you are organising a summer
camp in the Kildare Area and would like to be included in this brochure
please contact the YIC for an entry form, alternatively you can download
form from our website
www.kys.ie or contact us by e-mail
yic@kys.ie
Completed and signed the entry
form and return to us no later than the 8th April 2009
Such is the high demand for this
brochure that we may not be able to include all submissions.
For further information, please
contact The Youth Information Centre, Canal Stores, Basin Street, Naas,
Co. Kildare. Ph. 045-897893.
