The project was founded in 1990
Aims of the Project
- Provide a range of community based youth initiatives in Naas which respond to the needs of young people
- Provide outreach support work to young people in specific communities
- Continue to develop community and inter-agency collaboration
- Recruit, train and support volunteer youth leaders

Project Group Profile
The Naas youth project works with a number of youth groups. The groups have fun learning through a wide range of activities, craft, sport,
team games and music.
Examples of our groups are:
Super Seven Group
There are seven members in
this group, boys and girls aged between 11 – 14 yrs. The group was
established following from the Stepping Stones programme in 2007.
This group works together to come up with various activities, some
of which include arts, music, games and icebreakers.
Fantabolous 5
This is a small group of
young people from first and second year in secondary school. It is a
mixed group. They play games and arrange different activities for
the group, including games and the computers.
Spartans
Similar to the Parafinaliens,
this is a small group of young people, from primary and secondary
school. Their interests focus around computers, games and fun.
Bunny Legends
This is an all girls group,
ranging from 14 – 18yrs of age. The group was established after the
Stepping Stones programme in 2003. The activities that take place in
this group range from discussions, art and games.
V.I.P’S
The V.I.P’S were established
in 2007. They are a mixed of young people aged between 11 – 14yrs.
They love playing games, art and recently organised a sleep over in
KYS to raise money for Telethon.
Drop-In
The drop-in centre opens on
a Wednesday evening for young people aged between 11-15 yrs. There
are a range of services offered every night, including play station,
board games, pool, table tennis and other group activities. This
group is run mainly by volunteers.
